“Buyer” (also known as an Acquirer or Purchaser) refers typically to an individual or legal entity that buys, acquires or purchases all, or at least a majority of, a company’s Issued and Outstanding Shares or all (or substantially all) of its Assets, whether through a Merger, Stock Acquisition or Asset Acquisition.

A Buyer also can refer to a Purchaser of Securities in a Financing or more generally to an individual or legal entity that purchases goods or services.
