“Affiliate” is a person or legal entity that directly, or indirectly through one or more intermediaries, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the person specified. Accordingly, two companies still can be Affiliates, even if one company owns less than a majority ownership stake (i.e., less than 50%) of the other company.
