“Advisory Board” is a group of Advisors appointed by the Board of Directors or Chief Executive Officer to provide advice, connections and sometimes recognition to a company based on the Advisors’ experience, technical expertise and/or influence. An Advisory Board differs from a Board of Directors in that its members do not typically meet and do not have authority to vote on matters of corporate governance. The relationship between a company and an Advisor is governed by an Advisory Board Member Agreement.
