“Acquirer” (also known as a Purchaser or Buyer) typically refers to an individual or legal entity that acquires, purchases or buys all, or at least a majority of, a company’s Issued and Outstanding Shares or all (or substantially all) of its Assets, whether through a Merger, Stock Acquisition or Asset Acquisition.
